Returning mail

Is it possible to stop that mails return back because someone on the sendlist has an out-of-office-reply in his outlook account?
This is very confusing, first you are worried that the mail hasn't come through and when you then scroll down to the report, you see that it is your colleague who is on vacation.
It seems to me very unnecessary to sent this notification, since the mail has come through.
It is just more mail in the mail box, which means more time (to delete) and more capacity of the filestorage is also taken ...
